Diesel Generator Set Powered by MAN


Direct high pressure fuel injection with multi-hole injection nozzles. Turbo charging and inter cooling of the combustion air together with high mean effective pressure ensure a low-pollutant combustion well below the limits currently permitted for exhaust gas and noise emissions.

Man diesel engine are compact, have high torques and a long service life and always ready for operation. And being manufactured on a large-scale basis, they are also cost-effective.

The new MAN diesel engines for gensets are an optimum combination of high output, economical efficiency, environmental compatibility and long service life.

They are built in sophisticated production facilities with a high degree of precision and perfection and under constant strict monitoring. These are indispensable preconditions for the top quality of MAN gensets engines.

 

Engine Description

Water-cooled 4-stroke diesel engines with 6 cylinder in line and 8-,10-and 12-cylinder V type turbocharged and inter cooled engines.

 

Cylinder head and valve gear

Cross-flow single-cylinder heads for 1 per cylinder with cast inlet-swirl and outlet ports. Overhead valves. Shrunk in valve seat insert and valve guides. Valve tappets made of nitrified special steel. Forged camshaft.

 

Lubrication

Forced lubrication by means of a gear-driven pump for crankshaft and connecting rod bearings and turbocharger. Oil cooler cooled by engine cooling water, full-flow oil filter.

 

Fuel Injection

Maintenance-free Bosch in-line injection pump, 6-hole injection nozzle installed on the inlet side in the cylinder head. Fuel delivery pump.

 

Engine cooling

Thermostatically controlled forced circulation cooling. Amply dimension fan radiator with front-mounted air-cooled intercooler.
